Abstract

The Open Source, Multicore and Parallel Computing Miniconf offers a space to discuss and learn about Open Source contributions (existent or in process) to the problem of developing Parallel Software.

It aims to launch a conversation on how the OSS Community, Education Sectors, Scientists and Researchers, Developers and Industry are looking at this "new" scenario. We invite presentations with a broad scope from specific code and technical developments to direct applications (i.e. games industry, HPC, bioinformatics, etc): from scientific research to training on Parallel Programming. We wish to explore how the Open Source Model will be central to develop a sustainable platform for Multicore and Parallel Computing.
