Voice and vision interaction - John Graves
John Graves is completing his PhD research project at Auckland University of Technology by working on Open Source Software Development of a voice-enabled computer interface (dialog system). He specialises in SAS and Python.
Introduction to PhD research project involving open source development of a voice-and-vision enabled chatterbot for educational applications. The talk will feature short prerecorded demonstrations of hands-free programming, a voice mirror (computer listening and repeating), face detection with verbal greeting and more. Hardware is standard laptop with webcam. Software is Python with dragonfly module.
