Kidsmart Rollout: Early childhood project - Carl Klitscher

Carl has an interest in assistive technology for children with special needs. He has done volunteer work in this area for a number of years, mainly by delivering training in the use of some of the tools available.

This session will review a number of the open source assistive technologies available with a focus on communications capabilities; with some guidelines around selecting and integrating assistive technology hardware and software. There will also be real world examples of how these technologies operate.

Discussion of what extra functionality, support or development direction will be sought.
